Each week, we’ll be tracking a snapshot of year-over-year distributor revenue with our Pandemic Revenue Index (PRI). We would like to increase the sample size and are asking you to consider helping the industry through these uncertain and unprecedented times. If you are interested, reach out to Mike Emerson, at memerson@ircg.com. The sample size for the week of December 21-December 25 is 12 firms.
As expected, the week ending on December 25 saw a large increase over the same week in 2019 since Christmas fell on Friday this year compared with Wednesday in 2019. The week ending on January 1 is identical in terms of when New Year’s Day falls, so it’s likely that the year will end with only two down weeks since Labor Day.
Overall, the index is up 18.2% versus last year with 10 respondents reporting increases ranging from 5% to 57% and two companies reporting declines.
Thanks for following along with us as we analyze the impact of this pandemic. As we collect more experiences, we will continue to share patterns as they emerge.
