Each week, we’ll be tracking a snapshot of year-over-year distributor revenue with our Pandemic Revenue Index (PRI). We would like to increase the sample size and are asking you to consider helping the industry through these uncertain and unprecedented times. If you are interested, reach out to Mike Emerson, at memerson@ircg.com. The sample size for the week of October 12-October 16 is 13 firms, the same as last week.
This week’s index shows a sales increase of 2.6% versus the same week in 2019, which means that excluding the week of Labor Day where four selling days in 2020 were compared to five in 2019, with three small exceptions, business has generally been up going back to late July.
Seven companies reported increases that ranged from 3% to 26%. Of the six companies that saw decreases, the range was from 5% to 19%, so there is still a fair amount of variance among the participants.
Thanks for following along with us as we analyze the impact of this pandemic. As we collect more experiences, we will continue to share patterns as they emerge.
